Ruby is starting her new job. She tries to remember who she was at the interview. What had she worn? She looks through her closet, hoping something will trigger her memory.
She usually tries on one persona a season, unless something is there to hold her accountable. Some routine. Some job. Somebody.
But she had been single and unemployed for so long that she didn't have that luxury. She needed to find a job, and she needed to be the right person for that job. Which meant she had to be ready to be anyone and everyone.
