Put Another Dime in the Jukebox


She had a song for every mood, and every song made her think of something, remember something. She used playlists instead of photo albums, each note capturing something she felt long ago. It made her feel alive, but just barely. It made her feel like a skeleton, a shadow of her former self.

She knew she could just find more music. It didn't even have to be new if she didn't like what was being produced today. She just needed more of it so that she could keep living. So she could move forward. So she could experience new adventures instead of remembering what once was.
